TOMAH, WI (MONROE COUNTY) – One person was killed and another was injured in a motorcycle crash on I-90 in Monroe County this weekend, according to information from NBC 15.
The collision happened on eastbound I-90 near mile marker 46 in Tomah at about 9:52 a.m. Saturday, when the driver of a motorcycle swerved to avoid impact with another vehicle that had merged lanes. They then struck a different vehicle, and the driver, a 68-year-old Pigeon Falls man, lost control of his motorcycle.
Despite life-saving attempts performed by emergency crews, the driver died at the scene.
A passenger, identified only as a 67-year-old woman, received CPR until she was taken to the hospital with life-threatening wounds.
The collision remains under investigation at this time.
