LENA, WI – Two motorcyclists were severely injured after their vehicle crashed on Highway 141 in Lena on Saturday afternoon, according to information from the Green Bay Press Gazette.
The crash happened on northbound U.S. 141, south of Sunny Brook Road, at around 2:15 p.m., when the motorcycle began to headshake, which is when the handlebars began to violently vibrate back and forth.
The driver, 51-year-old Anthony Bowen, lost control of his vehicle and crashed. Bowen and his passenger, 44-year-old Jennifer Phillips, were taken to the hospital in Green Bay with severe injuries.
The two, both residents of New Berlin, were not wearing a helmet when the collision happened.
Bowen also received a citation for operating a motorcycle without a suitable license.
