RACINE, WI – A multi-vehicle crash near Durand Avenue and Kentucky Street left several people injured Tuesday night, FOX 6 Now reported.
The collision happened around 9 pm. A 20-year-old man was driving west on Durand Ave in the eastbound lanes. As a result, he crashed head-on with a 58-year-old man driving in the eastbound lane — sometime after, a 21-year-old woman hit the 58-year-old man’s car.
The 20-year-old man, whose name was not released, had a 29-year-old passenger with him. Both of them got trapped inside their car, and the fire department was able to take them out.
The 29-year-old man sustained a broken femur and collapsed lung. It was not reported if he was hospitalized. The 20-year-old, however, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Flight For Life.
The 21-year-old woman was unharmed. The 58-year-old man, on the other hand, was taken to Ascension All Saints Hospital and suffered a broken femur and a collapsed lung.
Police did not release the names of the victims at this time. They will charge the 20-year-old man for injury by intoxicated vehicle use and may issue additional charges.
