Bicyclist struck, injured by hit-and-run driver in Oak Creek

OAK CREEK, WI – A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Oak Creek this morning, according to information from WISN News.

The crash happened on W Ryan Road near S 27th Street at around 10 a.m., as Oak Creek resident Virginia Mazur was headed to work. She was crossing the street when she was struck by a driver leaving the nearby Dunkin’ Donuts. The driver then fled the scene.

Mazur fell off the bicycle and sustained a broken knee in the accident.

Bystanders were able to assist her until medical help arrived.

Authorities continue to investigate at this time.
