Narrative
ERIN, WI – A driver was taken into custody following a crash near Thompson that left a motorcyclist dead on Wednesday night.
Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department say the vehicle struck the motorcyclist at the intersection of WI-167 and County Road K at about 11:40 p.m.
The motorcyclist, an unidentified 51-year-old Hartford man, was thrown from his bike and pronounced dead at the crash site.
The driver of the vehicle involved, a 37-year-old man from Oconomowoc, was arrested after showing signs of impairment at the scene. It is unclear at this time exactly what charges he is facing.
