Narrative
POLK CO., WI – A collision between a car and a semi-truck in Polk County claimed the life of one person on Wednesday.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, authorities received a report of a crash involving a car and a semi-truck at the intersection of US Highway 8 and State Highway 46 at 3:37 p.m.
Investigators say a car traveling east made a left turn into the path of a westbound semi-truck.
The driver of the car was airlifted to Regions Hospital in Minnesota, where he succumbed to their injuries a short time later.
The driver of the semi-truck did not report any injuries resulting from the incident.
