Narrative
OCANTO FALLS, WI – A 76-year-old woman died Sunday after her vehicle collided with a semi-truck along a highway in central Oconto County.
The accident occurred in the morning at the intersection of Highway 32 and County Highway CC, which is on the western outskirts of Oconto Falls.
Police say that a westbound car ran a stop sign or traffic light at the intersection and entered the path of an 18-wheeler. After striking the car, the semi rolled into a ditch.
Medics transported both drivers to a local hospital, where the driver of the passenger vehicle died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.
There’s no word yet on the condition of the 39-year-old truck driver.
