Narrative
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI – An elderly woman sustained serious injuries Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash along WI-73.
The incident happened at 2:14 p.m. on the eastbound side of WI-73 near Vans Road, which is just northwest of Homestead Golf Course and Supper Club.
Police say an eastbound vehicle driven by a distracted driver rear ended another vehicle along the highway. The first vehicle left the roadway and rolled. Medics airlifted the 68-year-old driver of the first vehicle to the hospital with serious injuries.
The other driver was not hurt in the crash.
