Narrative
CUMBERLAND, WI – An UTV crash outside of Cumberland claimed the life of a woman and left a man seriously injured on Sunday.
Deputies with the Barron County Sheriff’s Office say two people were riding on a trail when the driver lost control of the UTV and collided with a tree, ejecting both occupants.
A 48-year-old woman riding in the passenger seat suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The 58-year-old driver was flown to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
