MADISON, WI – One driver died, and another sustained serious injuries Friday when two vehicles collided at a busy intersection in northeast Madison.
The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. near the intersection of Packers Avenue and Manley Street, which is southeast of Warner Park.
The circumstances of the collision are still unclear. One driver died at the scene, and the other became pinned in their vehicle until emergency crews arrived to assist.
Officials closed the southbound side of Packers Avenue while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
