Narrative
MILWAUKEE, WI – Three women died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision at a busy Milwaukee intersection on Friday morning.
The incident happened just before 2:15 a.m. in the area of Sherman Boulevard and Florist Avenue, which is just east of Havenwoods State Forest.
Police say that the driver of a gray Toyota neglected to stop at a red light and crashed into a white Nissan, which then struck a tree. Two passengers died at the scene, while the driver died after transport to the hospital.
Authorities identified the victims as Lashonda Jackson, 31, Bobbie Dyson, 28, and Ebony Johnson, 28.
Officials say that speed may have been a factor in the accident.
